I’m a creative person.
I have a lifetime of creative experience as a persuasive writer, poet, visual artist, passionate teacher, inspirational leader, engineer, innovator, and entrepreneur. I don’t fit any mold, and as a thought leader, I push boundaries to challenge contemporary and orthodox ideas.
Writing ENCOUNTER builds on decades of cross-cultural work experience. After volunteer teaching in Samoa, I helped startups and large corporations globally, leading large cross-functional, multi-cultural teams to find innovative product solutions in renewable energy, biomedicine, defense, consumer products & agriculture. Products I designed won local and international innovation awards, and I launched several new ventures including;
1993 JobKit Publications – which successfully sold a self-published educational kit by mail order.
2012 Altrutec – a technology innovation advisory firm providing consulting services.
2014 Agersens – an agricultural tech startup that launched eShepherd – the world’s first virtual fence for livestock.
As Agersens founder I was interviewed by and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Times (UK), and almost weekly in other print outlets in US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, and Australia, including national television and radio. The company was sold to Gallagher Corporation in 2021
I write books, articles and poetry (see my Substack for more). ENCOUNTER is the first book in a series about my experience in Samoa, but I have my sights set on a novel.
As a visual artist, I paint and draw in oil, acrylic, pastel, pencil, charcoal & watercolor, focusing on portraits, and narrative urban and natural landscapes.
I live in Melbourne, Australia.
